Viewlog Tool

The Prodocom Viewlog tool provides a complete reporting and administrative capability and is a module freely available to all users. Accessed via the standard Prodocom web log in, Viewlog presents both users and managers a comprehensive range of administrative functions providing detailed information regarding usage of the Prodocom message platform. To assist in audit compliance and enhanced workflow processes, the Viewlog system also captures and archives all inbound and outbound messages.

View

The details of all messages that are sent, or received via the Prodocom message server can be viewed via Viewlog. Standard information recorded and viewable against each message includes; submission and delivery times; delivery status; corresponding recipient information, such as name and company; and a unique Prodocom job number. The information that is displayed against each message is configurable. Prodocom can report on any variable that is passed in the appropriate format, with the message, for delivery.

Report Filtering

Sent and received messages can be searched for, using a variety of standard and custom-built filters. Users can search for jobs sent within a particular time or date range; all jobs sent to a particular recipient or a particular message type. All data can then be downloaded as CSV file for further formatting if required.

Resubmission

As a default, the Prodocom message server makes four attempts at delivering a message before classifying it as failed. This number of retries is configurable. Further retries can be made via the resubmit function associated with each job via Viewlog.

Archiving

Viewlog enables users to not only view the delivery details and status of a particular message, but to also view the actual message in PDF format. All messages are automatically archived for a period of 6 months. To satisfy audit compliance longer periods can be arranged.

Access

Managers can provide varying levels of access to the Viewlog system. Individuals can be provided a unique password that restricts the level of access from the complete range of Viewlog functions. For example users can be restricted to only view the messages they themselves have sent, or received. Administrators may be provided viewing access but not the ability to actual send messages. Access can be provided to individual, department, or company data. Capabilities can include sending messages, viewing data, downloading data and aborting jobs in progress.
